"On the Ground"

  • Zoomngirl by Zoomngirl

I have been selecting "On the ground" for all animals not in trees. So for example on a Duiker I select travelling & on the ground or eating/on the ground, sometime selecting all 3 options....seems not necessary with this animal (or other hoofed animals). But then on other animals such as the primates and rodents it does make a difference. Should I select "On the ground" whenever it applies, even if it is an animal that would not typically be found climbing? Thanks

I always select "on the ground" as well, since there are also occasions when I've seen things like duikers walking on downed trees so I specify "in a tree" for those cases. However, if it's not necessary, it would be nice for a member of the science team to chime in.

It is always good to also select on the ground. Actually even in case when they are on a log, this is still on the ground. In a tree is for when the tree is vertical. Thanks!
