Small Grey Duikers

  • DataDroid by DataDroid moderator

For those who aren't familiar with the different types of duikers or have difficulty identifying them at night, this clip is a good example of small grey duikers. Note their small size (the camera is pointed downward and close to the ground), their coloration (which can actually range from somewhat darker than seen here to reddish brown), their near-constant foraging (nose low to the ground to look for food), flappy tails (small greys are the only ones whose tails bob up and down instead of side to side) and the fact that there are two of them in the clip (the second one appears 13 seconds in) which is more likely with small greys than other types (though not impossible for others, and small greys are also frequently alone).
