Chimp & See

I am having trouble identifying whether these Chimpanzees are male or female? I tried using the field guide to help me categorize whether the Chimps are male or female, but am still unable to identify the sex.

Hi @paigefroebe. I'm not one of the mods, so I'll leave it to them to make an official response to this but I will just point out that these are in fact olive baboons, not chimps. It's an easy mistake to make - I did it once or twice myself when I first started here. The main thing to note is that chimps don't have tails so if you can see a tail, its not a chimp. It's a great shot you've found here - I love the concentration of the the one sitting at the front.

Hi @paigefroebe - welcome to chimpandsee!
Thanks @batfan for pointing out these are babboons 😃
for chimps, it can often be hard to tell males and females apart when you can't see their genitals, so just choose unidentifiable if you aren't sure - thanks!!!
