When the researchers perform maintenance on the cameras, do they check to make sure the focus is properly set? There seems to be a lot of pictures that are out of focus.

The cameras all have automatic focus, the problem usually occurs when something lands on the lens or the protective covering over the camera which causes the camera to focus on the wrong thing 😕 An additional hurdle is that the cameras do not have video displays on them, so to check the focus, we'd need to download the data and check it each time and then re-install the camera set up which could cause a focus error again 😕 Thanks for your question!
