Scars?

Are this scars on the back and head of the chimp in the foreground? They look somehow strange.

It think that is the top of its head because he looks down a couple of seconds in. Pretty interesting balding pattern that could help to identify it.

The chimp right at the end has an interesting light, almost white-looking area of skin under the nose. Don't know how that would show up in daytime images but that also might be helpful for identification.

Sorry, @vestigial: I do not understand your answer. You think, it is just balding on the head and the back and no scars? I don't know that why I asked. For me both lighter spots look like (strange) scars - like gun shot wounds to be precise.

Hahaha. My fault. I read on the back of the head instead of on the back and the head. The head may just be balding but that patch on the back does look odd. Could be from an old wound like a puncture they might get from a bite.
