This tree seems like a very popular place, there is another discussion for this fellow: http://talk.chimpandsee.org/#/boards/BCP000000h/discussions/DCP00001h9 I think the chimp there is different from these three, he(?) has a very straight brow.
ACP0003dwy - juvenile tool user, very pronounced dip in the brow. A younger juvenile hanging off to the side

ACP0003dwz Adult female, probably the mother of the small one.

ACP0003dx0 She's taking the tool using juvenile's cracked nuts!

I think this is the youngest of the #RWFemale02 trio! This video is two days after that the original sighting, they might be regular visitors of this spot.
More videos from this sequence confirm it's the same group.
ACP0003dq2 The older sibling(?) is here, too.

ACP0003dpx Youngest on the left, Mom still refuses to look at the camera.. and again snatches food from the older juvenile!

Hi @DataDroid, this looks like a kid to me! Younger individuals tend to have lighter faces + hands than adults do (although not always!), and are smaller in size than are adults.
Another helpful hint (but not always a rule) is how intact the ears are! This youngster's ears look perfectly intact! Adults tend to accumulate tears and scars over the years as they get older, although some lucky adults sneak by more or less untouched. π

Ah, thanks. I guess I didn't have enough size cues here to be sure, so I'll make sure to look out for those other cues you mentioned. At what point (approximately) would one consider a chimp to be an adult vs a juvenile?

Hi @DataDroid -
Chimpanzee age classifications go roughly as follows:
0-5 yrs--infant;
5-10--juvenile;
10-15ish--subadult;
15 and older--adultSo they don't reach adulthood fully until around the age of 13-15ish, but they start to lose the infantile features like the pale face and the little white tuft on their rump slowly during the course of being juveniles and subadults. Hope that helps!

Thanks. For purposes of classification here, should anything below adult be considered "youth" then?

Possibly the same individual as RW Juvenile. It's the same spot just 20 minutes earlier than the other video.Posted

This is the same scene - one chimp in the foreground and another in the background which is the one that's making most of the noise - using a stone to crack something maybe?

@Quia and @DataDroid. I agree I think its a match for these three indivduals, Let us just wait for Giulia to confirm, but in case we are right
Quia, can you propose a name for the mom?
Datadroid can you propose a name the infant?And I will leave the naming of the juvenile open to everyone, first come first serve. Make sure to check this list since every chimp needs a unique name! http://talk.chimpandsee.org/#/boards/BCP000000i/discussions/DCP00001dp

Giulia, Erin, Maureen, correct me if I am wrong but I think at this age the little females have no swelling, what you see here is the infant"s white butt tuft which both males and females have. But good educated guess! We will keep these names and need one more!

Currently, RWJuvenile 01 & RWJuvenile 02 are tagged as being part of this family, yet they are still listed separately as prospective individuals in the main id thread. Just want to be sure, are RWJ01 & 02 now known or still unmatched? Thanks!

Red water 06. Seems like a female possibly juvenile, similar in facial colour and general demeanor as Alia. Shot is a little foggy so its hard to make out but "she" does look up at the camera. Thanks.
