    (even if you don't agree with all of my post, I think it's clear that the males from ACP00058d1 and ACP000587x are the same -- I had to double check that they weren't from the same sequence!)




    He's big and robust, with lots of grey/yellow on the back and legs, big head that's flat on top with very little balding, lightly curved brows, dark eye area and fairly dark muzzle/lips with basically no beard and even skin tone, right eyebrow is a bit thicker and paler than the left, ears fairly small and close to the head, with the right ear a bit bent or thicker.

    Compared to CDMale01/01a/05/03/07, he's not as big/fluffy in the shoulders, his back/rump isn't as rounded, his grey/yellow goes further down the legs, he has more hair on his forehead, he doesn't have the pale lips and white beard, and his face is more triangular.

    Don't feel rushed to make any decisions, I'm just sharing what I've been thinking about 😃

    Ok, I feel confident enough about IDs for this guy (CDMale04/04a/06) and CDMale01/01a/03/05/07 from the side/behind to make a little post about it. I'm going to call this guy CDMale04 for short, even though I think he's also CDMale04a/CDMale06, and I'm going to call the other one CDMale01, even though I think he has many matches too.

    As I said before, CDMale01 is bigger/fluffier in the shoulders, with a rounded back/rump area. He has a lot of grey/yellow on the back, but it's not as yellow as CDMale04, and it doesn't go as far down the legs.

    From behind, you can also tell that CDMale01 is less yellow on the back, but also the area around his anus isn't as black as on CDMale04. On CDMale01, around the anus it's paler and triangular in shape -- a wide triangle that points down. Lastly, their testicles hang in a different way: in CDMale01, the left one is slightly lower than the right, while in CDMale04, the left one is quite a bit higher than the right.

    Wow, a lot of information here!!! that is amazing.
    I agree with you that ACP000587x and ACP00058d1 are the same, and also that he is the same as CDMale06, and CDMale04, and CDMale04a. But for example I don't think that this one ACP0005fh2 is the same... or maybe its just the image, but anyway he looks different for me.

    Do you have a name already??

    No hurry! I agree that he looks a bit different in ACP0005fh2, but I think it's still him. I think the black and white footage always makes them look a bit strange. But I definitely see the similarities between ACP0005fh2 and the other black and white footage -- ACP000587x and ACP00058d1.

    Anyway, I would like to name him Luigi, if that's ok 😃

    Did I get it right that you ID CDMale01 as CDMale07 too? Then he might be in ACP00058f6 too as the first male has been IDed as CDMale07?

    Yes, I think CDMale01 = CDMale07. I commented earlier in http://talk.chimpandsee.org/#/boards/BCP000000k/discussions/DCP0000alr that I agreed it was him in ACP00058f6 😃

    edit: he's actually in the previous video: ACP00058f5, not ACP00058f6

    Yeah, I know you agreed on him being CDMale07, but I just wanted to make sure that he then is also CDMale01 😃 So obviously, the number of individual chimps is reduced right?

    (I think @PauDG meant to say that the male in ACP00058f5 is CDMale07a as that's what she put in the prospective list: http://talk.chimpandsee.org/#/boards/BCP000000k/discussions/DCP000090p)

    My opinion is that we have only 4 adult males: Ralph, Dodge, Luigi, and CDMale01/01a/03/05/07/07a, plus one subadult male (Fry)
