DBFem01&infant--Female with grey lower back carrying dorsal infant

  • Boleyn by Boleyn moderator

Here are my first chimps at DawnBird: ACP0007h9c ACP0007h9e

The female seems to be quite muscular, in good shape, so to speak. She's got a grey lower back and grey legs all the way down to the feet. Otherwise her fur seems to be rather black. Her features can be seen only in a sideview. She's got a lighter face color up her entire forehead. The muzzle and brows are a bit lighter, both protruding. A very pale left ear which is perfectly rounded.

The infant has a round very pale muzzle, a litter darker the aera around the eyes but not dark as the chimps at DryLake. Nicely rounded, light brows, pale hand and feet.

I was thinking whether we might look into this female and her infant: ACP000873q. Also not the best for facial features, but size and appearance of infant (incl. darker eye mask) fits. She has a long face with a slightly lighter and irregular spotted muzzle. Browridge not very pronounced. Baldness seems to fit and the right ear seems to be irregular.

Robust, but firm body build, gray back and legs. Video found by @Eswiniarski.

Maybe I should have moved the thread Another shoulder-riding infant and his mom into this one, because now as I see your suggestion I think this one fits the pattern as well:
My description of the female: She has a pigmented face with a long, protruded muzzle. The left ear seems to have a deformation, thicker at the ridge and I cannot see if there is a bow at all. She's got a gray forehead way back until to the earline, a grey lower back, grey shoulders and sides. The legs are grayish but darker than the other grey parts.

The only problem here is I cannot see the deformation of the left ear in DBFem01 but I can see the similarities with the female from ACP000873q.

And the infants are quite alike. It is always riding on the shoulder and note the shape and size of its ear. I think that's very similar:

I agree to @PauDG's suggestion that ACP0007hay might be DBFem01 and kid. I did not see the balding in the DBInf01 before. @Boleyn already posted DBFem07 in the DBFem01 thread, so they might be worth to look into them. Not much is seen from the female, but the traits that are seen fit. It also means that ACP000873q is falsely proposed for DBFem01 - her kid has a very round (not just wide) face and no balding.

(I will post the same here and over there: http://talk.chimpandsee.org/#/boards/BCP000000p/discussions/DCP0000rp8)

    Great AnLand.

I forgot to add this fem+inf ( ACP0007hay ) to the list. They will be DBFem01c for now. Let's see what the rest think.

    Thanks! 😉

I agree with @Boleyn that the infants in ACP000873q and ACP00081j3 and ACP00081j5 have similar ears.

However the baldness in the infants differs. While the infant in ACP000873q appears to have no baldness, the bald forehead is very apparent in the ACP00081j3 sequence. Also does the infant in the latter sequence look more fluffy, the fur around his head almost makes him look like a bonobo.

    Hi all!

I also think that DBInf07 looks different than DBInf01b.

DBInf07 (and the mom) were proposed as match with Bora & inf, but that is not clear yet.
