Growling elephant event

    Interesting elephant event:

    ACP000cb5q ACP000cb5r ACP000cb5s ACP000cb5u

    There is a low growling and then an elephant does a quick turn through the brush. I'm curious as to what might be going on here. It's always so interesting hearing from @NuriaM or @Pugli on the elephants!

    letĀ“s see how I can explain this one...I see here a social event, rather than a conflict.
    ItĀ“s only a one-minute series, and I canĀ“t claim anything for sure, but hereĀ“s my interpretation:

    in ACP000cb5q you hear an individual rumbling; itĀ“s no conflict rumble but a social roar.

    then in ACP000cb5r you see a young male pushing a female away. This guy might be 7 - 9 years old, a teeneger šŸ˜®. He is just playing teen, like when a 16 year-old boy gathers with other teens and plays the big and strong guy. He is just trying to show how big and important he is.

    next video ACP000cb5s, itĀ“s only a rumble.

    and then here ACP000cb5u, the same female (maybe 18 - 20 years old) tries to approach the group in the background again, but she sees the `cool guyĀ“ and thinks twice. When she turns around she notices the camera and stops and smells the camera surroundings.

    This is how I see this scene, no conflict, no danger, just a typical teenagerĀ“s behaviour (I donĀ“t want to think of my kids at that age šŸ˜® )

    Of course I am open for other opinions!

    Thanks for that explanation, NuriaM, fascinating learning about and seeing their social interactions - I love to hear them vocalize too!
