    you are right, this elephant looks very old. Apart from her skin signals, the cracks in the edge of her ears reflect that too. Also, if you check the next video ( ACP000ctyu ) , you can compare her to the younger female that follows (skin, ears and, walking speed).

    Elephants are long-lived animals (I mentioned it in the blog post Elephant life stages ). They can reach up to 70 years in the wild, and the role of old females is essential in terms of reproductive success and knowledge "depot" .

    So yes, this lady is a lovely old geezer 😃
