Whats going on with this Elephant?

It looks like a juvenile that is struggling to stand.

    Hi @gabrieljs,

the elephants are here at some kind of water source, drinking and probably also eating clay (mineral-rich soil). The elephant youngster is standing with its hindlimbs in the water source and with its forelimbs already at the higher level brink. I am not sure whether it tries to get out here or just looks for a good position to feed. The open mouth is several times at the clay - it might still not be old enough to use the trunk properly - and so, it might only be feeding. See how it tries to keep the trunk out of the way to get close to the soil?

For me at least, it does not look as if into too much distress, and there are other around to help.

    I hope that helps!
