Is that diddling? (So, it's not only a male-male behavior?)

It is definetly #diddling, and I am trying to find if females do it and i am not coming up with much. Also, are we sure that's a female?

The baboon carrying the baby has quite some nipples ... My guess would be female.

It seems a casual/social behavior, not as prominent as in bonobos, but along those lines.

genital manipulation or #diddling in guinea baboons occurs between individuals of all age and sex classes (m-m, m-f, f-f).

Hi @asgoffe, welcome to Chimp&See & thanks for answering our questions! do you by any chance have a reference for the MF diddling behaviour?

i have a paper in review at the moment on intersexual social relationships in this species, but it doesn't specifically focus on greeting.
