Yes, definitely a porcupine. it's generally not a good idea to use a hashtag unless you've made a positive ID, as this can skew the results.
I'm pretty sure it's just a #small_grey_duiker
#leopard #selfie
I don't think it's an ibis, the bill is too straight.
Looks like a Jentink's duiker -- a yellow-backed duiker would have a tuft of fur between its horns.
The infant appears to be #playing 😃
Nice! It's rare to see one during the day.
Yes: ACP0004ghc
Yes, we've been tagging this spot with #hive so we can track the development of the hive over time.
#reptile
#small_grey_duiker - dik-diks are only about half this size.
This is a favorite feeding spot for #jentinks_duiker
#injury
Yes, #genet
#bongo
I think it's being attacked by a mongoose or honey badger.
Ouch!
Those are actually bees in a #hive. The duiker is a #small_grey_duiker
This is an #african_giant_squirrel. It should be classified as "Rodent", "In a Tree", "Climbing"
#honey_badger
#pangolin
I agree, this is probably a #mongoose. A pangolin's tail is longer.
I'm pretty sure these are #mongoose
ACP0002zfo and ACP0002zfp also show it. I really don't know what it is.

It looks too slow for a bat to me
#out_of_sight #human adjusts the camera

I'm pretty sure it's another small grey duiker.
#bat

It might be a rail: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African_rail
Great example of typical #small_grey_duiker behavior and appearance.
I'd actually guess porcupine. I think it moves too slowly and too low to the ground for a genet.
Yes, since some of the sites are in eastern Africa. However, RW6 is in western Africa.
#red_river_hog gets back up again
#red_river_hog stops to take a rest
Dik-Diks live in eastern Africa and are only 30-40cm tall. This is almost certainly a #small_grey_duiker.
Large group of #red_river_hog #vocalizing
I think this might actually be a #genet. It looks too small for a civet to me.
2 #red_duiker flirting
#chimp #chimps
#jentinks_duiker, appears to be a juvenile.
That should read #lizard, for those making tag collections.
Correct. There's just enough of a glimpse of it to ID it.
You might be right. It doesn't exhibit any tail movement, so I can't tell for sure.
#small_grey_duiker chases #red_duiker
A rare glimpse of a wild backpack.
What kind of #bird is this?
#jentinks_duiker examines the camera during the day.
#jentinks_duiker in the daytime
This is actually a #yellow_backed duiker (see ACP00035yr )
#yellow_backed duiker examines the camera.

#porcupine #mating
I think you're right.
#jentinks_duiker and #bat
#out_of_sight #monkey jumps from tree to tree (note the shadows).
#yellow_backed duiker
Bats are "Other (non-primate)". I usually list them as "traveling", but don't use "on the ground" since they're flying and hashtag #bat.
ACP00030q9 (previous clip) indicates it's some sort of raptor bird.
#out_of_sight #human
#small_grey_duiker #fleeing
Nice find!
I think it's a porcupine.
I'd guess it's a small grey duiker.
#red_river_hog
Two #squirrel face off, either to fight or flirt.
#elephant flicks its tail in front of the camera.
Looks like it's not so much wary as stealthily hunting something.
#yellow_backed duiker walks right across the camera's field of view.
#jentinks_duiker is frightened of something (possibly the camera)
#elephant group
My guess is that it's just one or a family that actually lives in/under the tree.
Actually, it's a #pregnant #jentinks_duiker
I'm pretty sure it actually is a monkey's tail. There's no sound or movement indicating human activity, and it's too high off the ground.
Actually, I'm almost positive it's a #porcupine. There's at least one that appears to live under this tree.
I think it's a #porcupine. Nice #thunder, #rain and #hail in this one.
#out_of_sight human
#leopard stops in front of the camera, but doesn't maul it.
This should be considered for #dailyzoo
#red_river_hog with #young
#hippo
#chimp too obscured by sun glare to identify.
#dailyzoo
It might be a termite mound or a diseased growth on the tree.
Yes, you can see the same individual in this video: ACP0003cge
A #giant_pouched_rat and 2 #bat
This is definitely a #bongo. Note the long, twisted horns.
That's actually a #mongoose.
I would categorize as human, since animals don't deliberately adjust the camera, as you can see happening here; they just tend to hit it.
Is this a black duiker or something else?
This (Jentink's?) duiker appears to be #pregnant
#hippo in a hurry
#bat in the first few frames of this shot
#MF7Male02
Think this is good enough for #dailyzoo?
These are actually mongooses. They are carnivores, not rodents.
#MFMale02
#MF7Male02 chases away mother carrying young
#adult #female #chimp #chimps #camera_reaction
Actually, that's a #bat (or several). Most birds besides owls do not fly at night, and these flight patterns are distinctly bat-like.
#jentinks_duiker drops the fruit it's chewing right in front of the camera.
#chimp #adult #juvenile
One way I tell them apart if I don't have a good size or color reference is the tail behavior. Greys' tails go up and down, not side to side
I nominate this as a #dailyzoo candidate!
Looks like a #civet to me, genets are usually smaller and thinner.
I think the branch it's on points toward the camera a bit as well.
I agree, that looks damaged.
Yeah, that's a squirrel all right. Note how it holds its food.
Actually, this looks like a mongoose, not a rodent at all.
That would be a #giant_pouched_rat
I'm pretty sure this is a yellow-backed duiker. It's too large for a red duiker and lacks the dark shoulder coloring of a Jentink's duiker.
#red_duiker and two #bat
Is that a bat in the first few frames of this clip or a low-flying bird?
Looks like a Small Grey Duiker to me.
#pangolin (on the right, difficult to ID except by the previous video: ACP00037ke)
Definitely a #pangolin. The next couple videos confirm it.
Does anyone know what kind of #bird this is?
#chimp #tool
#yellow_backed duikers seem to like the camera
Don't forget the #bat who goes the other direction at the start of the clip.
Large bug on the camera 😃
#jentinks_duiker is afraid of the camera.
I believe this is actually a mongoose. A badger's tail would point upward.
This is actually a #bongo. Its distinctive features are its long, spiral horns (male) and dark "mask". Here is a forest buffalo: ACP000237k
#chimp - too obscured by branches for an ID
A line of #crested_guinea_fowl
#chimp with #tool use
Four #mongoose in one clip!
That's much too small for a leopard. I'm pretty sure it's a #civet.
#mona_monkey
#hippo during the day!
Yes, it is a #pangolin ! Great find!
#porcupine
It's a human. It's easier to see in ACP0003e2x.
No problem; they're quite different from "new world" porcupines.
#monkey pulls down a large piece of bark from a tree
While they are rodents, this one is specifically a #porcupine, which has its own classification.
#zebra_duiker chases #small_grey_duiker away
Mother #jentinks_duiker and young
Yes, an African/Forest Giant Squirrel if I'm not mistaken.
I think this is actually a female #bongo. So far, the only video I've seen of a forest buffalo is here: ACP000237k
#white_crested_hornbill #bird
#water_chevrotain
I think this is a #small_cat, but it might be a #genet that pounces and misses its prey. (I'll delete the wrong tag once it's clarified).
#civet
Sitting #bongo
#bongo is still sitting, still ruminating while staring at the camera
The famous sitting #bongo
I'd originally tagged hyena, but now that I'm more experienced, I think it's a bushbuck.
I think this is a Rail? Is that correct?
No worries, not everything can be identified. Based on its gait and height from the ground, I might hazard a guess that it's a mongoose.
#monkey checking on its secret stash
#monkey comes over and examines the fallen camera.
#elephant
Here's where the sitting #bongo actually sits down.
13 #chimps in one clip!
#bipedal #chimp
The sitting #bongo that I've seen in so many clips is joined by a friend!
I think this is actually just a regular #mangabey monkey, but the low-light camera makes the facial features look unusual.
That's almost certainly a #jentinks_duiker. The coloration and shape of the head are fairly distinct.
Ah, yes, clip ACP0002w10 confirms it: yellow-backed duiker.
Judging by the size and lack of shoulder coloration, I'd say it's a #yellow_backed duiker.
Looks like a #small_grey_duiker to me (try looking at your display from an angle, it reduces colors but increases contrast).
The horns and face markings definitely look like a #bongo to me. Other clips here give the scale, consistent with bongo.
Well, this is the "porcupine tree". I've seen more porcupine clips at this tree than any other site.
Looks like a #giant_pouched_rat
I think this is a small #pangolin, but it might just be a large rat.
These are actually #bushbuck females
#yellow_backed duiker in broad daylight
Usually a leopard is to blame, but this time I think it's a mongoose.
#yellow_backed duiker looks right at the camera
Looks like a pair of #mongoose
#squirrel falls to the ground right in front of the camera
#bongo #selfie
#civet #selfie
I think so, and it looks like the monkeys like watching it 😃
3 #elephant walking away from the camera
1 #crested_guinea_fowl, 2 #mongoose and 1 #squirrel (look in the upper right) in the same clip
It's very blurry, but I think I see a #pagolin in the background of this shot.
Two #bushbucks and a #mouse (or other small rodent, lower left)
#red_river_hog family and #bat
I'm pretty sure it's actually the hindquarters of an #elephant
#yellow_backed duiker, rubbing its cheek on the same plants that the Jentink's Duikers seem to like.
#bat or #bird? The nighttime/dawn camera suggests bat, but the flight pattern looks more bird-like.
#red_duiker with #young
Another #jentinks_duiker rubbing its cheek on these plants.
#jentinks_duiker with very striking coat.
Tagging with #zebra_duiker to add to the automatic tag group.
Tagging with #jentinks_duiker so it can be added to the master tag group.
#mona_monkey in a tree watches a #squirrel run by on the ground
The female's kid interrupts a minute later: ACP0002tjk
The previous video lets me know that that's a #pangolin trudging off in the lower right at the start of this clip.
Woohoo, another #pangolin !
2 #mongoose - are they fighting, flirting or eating?
7 #white_breasted_guinea_fowl dash across the scene
Interesting. Usually I only see monkeys on this log.
No, this is an example of #tool use. The chimp is using the rock to crack a nut or tough fruit.
That's a #jentinks_duiker. You can see the dark patch on its shoulder.
I believe these are #bongo
I've noticed several shots of a #jentinks_duiker rubbing the saplings here with its cheek. I would guess they're marking it with their scent
This is an example of tool use. The chimp is using a rock to crack open a nut or tough fruit.
I think this is a young jentink's, as IDed in the associated discussion.
#jentinks_duiker mother and child
I think those are #pouched_rat
That's a Mangabey #monkey
Wow! That might be the first positive ID on an amphibian!
#mongoose pouncing on something (probably a snake)

I think it's just a twig falling on the ground.

I agree, that looks damaged.
Yeah, that's a squirrel all right. Note how it holds its food.
Yes, this is a #giant_pouched_rat
Actually, this looks like a mongoose, not a rodent at all.
That would be a #giant_pouched_rat
#pangolin
#pangolin
#pangolin
I'm pretty sure this is a yellow-backed duiker. It's too large for a red duiker and lacks the dark shoulder coloring of a Jentink's duiker.

Is that a bat in the first few frames of this clip or a low-flying bird?

Definitely a #pangolin. The next couple videos confirm it.

It's a human. It's easier to see in ACP0003e2x.
No problem; they're quite different from "new world" porcupines.
#bat
#monkey pulls down a large piece of bark from a tree
While they are rodents, this one is specifically a #porcupine, which has its own classification.
#zebra_duiker chases #small_grey_duiker away

Yes, an African/Forest Giant Squirrel if I'm not mistaken.
I think this is actually a female #bongo. So far, the only video I've seen of a forest buffalo is here: ACP000237k

The famous sitting #bongo
I'd originally tagged hyena, but now that I'm more experienced, I think it's a bushbuck.
I think this is a Rail? Is that correct?
#bat
No worries, not everything can be identified. Based on its gait and height from the ground, I might hazard a guess that it's a mongoose.

I think this is a small #pangolin, but it might just be a large rat.

Usually a leopard is to blame, but this time I think it's a mongoose.

#bat or #bird? The nighttime/dawn camera suggests bat, but the flight pattern looks more bird-like.
