Motion-activated light?

  What purpose does the light serve in these clips? I'm assuming it's part of the field team equipment, but I don't know why we haven't seen it anywhere else.

  It doesn't seem to be in sync with the camera, but appears to go on when things walk nearby and then go off on its own later.

  • Coming on (after a duiker walks behind it): ACP0005dd1
  • Going off (different day): ACP0005dck

  My guess is this from a second camera placed at the same location but i am not 100% sure.

  Oh, silly me, I never thought of that. Here's a daytime shot. I can see MAYBE a tripod handle pointing forward, but I'm not sure. ACP0005dda

  I don't see anything in this clip but there is a lot of forest in the way - what you need to be looking our for is a box strapped to a tree (an unmanned tripod wouldn't last long in the forest 😉 )
